What Is Chiropractic Care : We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing “state of the art” chiropractic techniques. In the history of chiropractic, we have never been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. Dr. Mario Roybal has years of training and experience within the chiropractic field. During your first visit, the doctor will ask you if you have ever had chiropractic care. As well as, if you have any preferences in the type of adjustment you receive. We offer everything from the lowest force adjustment such as The Activator to the higher force adjustments like Gonstead and Diversified. Types of Adjustments:
The Activator: This is a small hand held instrument that acts like a small mallet. The activator delivers a very specific tap to the area needing an adjustment. This technique is ideal for patients who do not like the twisting, turning and "cracking" associated with other techniques. Activator is also ideal for small children and the elderly as it is a very low force, gentle technique.
Thompson Drop: These are the standard techniques that most chiropractors use. Some Doctors use much more force and twist than others. These techniques can still be performed very gently and usually are still very painless. However, these techniques do require moving the patient into different positions and may require twisting or turning. This is the standard technique that most chiropractors use. Flexion-Distraction: This technique is designed for people with low back injuries. It is exactly as its name says a flexion and traction technique. It aims to reverse spinal disc compression by gently stretching your spine. Flexion Distraction involves using a special table that distracts and flexes the spine in an automated and gentle rhythmic motion.
Proper, or normal, posture is a matter of simple engineering. The human body is designed with the head, rib cage, and pelvis perfectly centered and balanced on each other. From the front, the spine is perfectly aligned with gravity. But the spine, when viewed from the side, contains three curves to properly balance the weight of your body and allow free movement. A CBP treatment plan at Roybal Chiropractic has corrective exercises, adjustments, and traction. Please read below for a description of each of these services.
Active Release Techniques (ART) protocols, resulting in a more effective process for soft-tissue complaints than traditionally seen. ART providers apply their understanding of soft tissue toward muscle tension to target and break up adhesions that are causing pain. Patients often see results after their first ART session, with resolution commonly occurring in four or fewer sessions!
Traction uses weights and other tools to treat muscular and skeletal disorders. Those disorders can include: injuries to the joints, muscles, vertebrae and ligaments pinched or compressed nerves. The way traction can help is by stretching the ligaments and muscles which increases the space between your vertebrae. Traction can also help relieve your pain which can be caused by disc degenerative disorders or by bulging or herniated discs.
If you've suffered a sports injury, we can help you recover and get back to your active lifestyle. Our sports injury rehabilitation services include chiropractic care, physical therapy, and other treatments to help you heal.
